Job summary

Mercedes-Benz USA in Atlanta, GA seeks an Enterprise Technology Architect to own the CodeCraft platform runtime, cloud infrastructure, developer tooling, and security controls across NAFTA.

You'll prototype, review Terraform and platform code, and collaborate with engineers to deliver scalable, compliant platform capabilities while controlling costs and reliability across ~40 repositories.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field required.
• 10+ years designing and operating enterprise tech; 3+ years in architecture roles.
• Cloud-native architecture, hybrid clouds, containers, Kubernetes, APIs.
• Terraform/Terragrunt and GitOps-based delivery in multi-account environments.
• Experience with shared platform assets, libraries, and developer tooling.
• DevSecOps depth: security, vulnerabilities, secrets management, SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Own CodeCraft tech reference stack: JVM/Node runtimes, Kubernetes, ingress, caching, Kafka.
• Architect cloud-native runtime delivery, multi-account segmentation for MBUSA/MBFS.
• Design IaC architecture and reusable building blocks; Terraform/Terragrunt design.
• Shape shared assets: libraries, Gradle plugins, BOM, API gateway, tooling.
• Define developer golden paths and templates to ensure compliant paths.
• Lead observability, reliability, and platform cost engineering.
