Job summary

Mercedes-Benz USA seeks an Adv, IT Software Architect to oversee cloud and server management across Azure environments and five data centers. You will drive the transition to cloud-based solutions and align initiatives with MB NAFTA regional IT teams.

Responsibilities include capacity management, architecture leadership for portfolio projects, and evaluating new technologies. Domestic and international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years total experience in middleware, operating systems, server administration, and web technologies
• Azure Fundamentals and related Microsoft certifications listed are required
• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/CE or equivalent
• Strong change and risk management skills
• Excellent communication, presentation and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Azure Cloud and Wintel server capacity management, including monitoring and cost projections
• Configure Azure cloud for MB NAFTA regional applications; OS certification and monitoring
• Lead architecting solutions for Enterprise Portfolio Management and other Azure/Wintel initiatives
• Research industry trends and propose changes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Assign tasks to staff and contractors; track progress and report status
