Mercedes-Benz USA seeks a Principal Data Engineer to lead enterprise data architecture and scalable data platforms. You will define standards, templates, and patterns used across multiple teams and domains to enable analytics, AI, and reporting.

You will partner with architects and engineers to drive end-to-end data pipelines, observability, governance, and cost efficiency while mentoring engineers and delivering business impact across the organization.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in data engineering or related fields.
• Experience designing and operating enterprise-scale data platforms.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and technical leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve enterprise data engineering architecture and standards.
• Design and deliver high-performance, scalable data platforms and data products.
• Identify gaps in data quality, reliability, and governance and drive end-to-end solutions.
• Mentor engineers and influence engineering direction across teams.
