Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Solutions Architect to shape strategy and lead architectures for partner engagements across government, education and healthcare sectors. You will own technical engagements, define architectures, respond to RFPs and evangelize AWS security best practices.

You will collaborate with sales teams to drive partner success, mentor teams, and present at events while travel up to 30% may be required. This role requires strong leadership and deep AWS knowledge.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries
• 4+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
• 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)
• Bachelor's degree, or Cloud Technology Certification (such as Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional or Cloud DevOps Engineering)

Responsibilities

• Lead technical strategy and architecture for scaling partners within state and local government, education, non-profit, and/or healthcare domains
• Own end-to-end solution architecture spanning compute, data, AI/ML, cloud migrations, analytics, etc.
• Operate as a trusted advisor at the executive level, translating business objectives into AWS-native architectures
• Provide thought leadership and capture best-practice knowledge within the AWS Solutions Architect community
• Collaborate with world-class sales and business development teams to drive partner success
