Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. seeks experienced Solutions Architects to partner with customers in designing scalable, flexible cloud architectures and to drive successful AWS adoption across enterprise workloads.

You will collaborate with AWS Sales and other teams, educate customers, and help migrate workloads to the cloud while building long-term trusted advisor relationships. Travel 15-20% is expected.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics.
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in software or Internet industries.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders as a trusted advisor.
• Lead deep architectural and design discussions to create world-class AWS-based solutions.
• Author and contribute to AWS customer-facing publications like whitepapers and proofs of concept.
• Partner with sales to formulate and execute a strategy to exceed revenue objectives through AWS adoption.
• Build relationships with senior technical and business individuals within customers to enable cloud advocacy.
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge within the AWS solutions architect community.
• Travel is mostly regional, expected to be 15-20%.
