Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Solutions Architect to accelerate its EdTech business within the World Wide Public Sector. You will own technical engagements, define architectures, and partner with customers and partners to drive cloud adoption.

You will build deep expertise in AWS services, lead design reviews, and mentor others while traveling up to 30% to customer sites. A strong background in cloud computing and security is essential.

Qualifications

8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
Experience in a technical role within a sales organization

Responsibilities

Own the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific projects
Define and design architectures; develop a deep expertise in AWS technologies
Be a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services
Lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solution architect community
