Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Client Relationship Manager to own client accounts, partnering with the Client Partner to manage day-to-day operations, drive account growth, and ensure delivery excellence. You will manage account P&L, expand engagements, and foster trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.

The role requires strong business acumen, leadership capability, and a proactive, growth-oriented mindset, with a focus on renewals, extensions, and new opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience in a client-facing role within a consulting firm or IT professional services/outsourcing environment.
• Proven experience managing client P&L of $15M+, including financial reporting and metric analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain trusted relationships with key client stakeholders.
• Develop a deep understanding of client environments, priorities, and challenges.
• Partner with clients to define business problems and co-create innovative solutions.
• Drive renewals, extensions, and expansion opportunities, including proactive RFPs and bids.
• Monitor industry trends relevant to client businesses and introduce forward-looking ideas.
• Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for assigned clients.
• Own backlog growth, including renewals and extensions of existing engagements.
• Lead onsite project teams and ensure alignment with client expectations and objectives.
