Job summary

Standard Chartered in New York seeks a Client Manager to drive client service and readiness-to-transact within SLAs. You will support RMs, Product Sales, Operations and other partners to deliver high-quality service and maintain relationship health across an aligned client portfolio.

The role emphasizes thorough documentation, regulatory compliance and proactive issue resolution, with opportunities to contribute to governance and client surveying initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Banking or Finance preferred.
• Ideally 3+ years experience in banking or other relevant environment.
• Risk & AML certified as stipulated by Bank policy for Client Manager role.
• Languages: English and/or local language skills as relevant to country requirements.
• Ability / experience building strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, work with them to deliver exceptional client service & experience while balancing robust operational management deliverables.
• Knowledge of local regulations (CDD, credit and lending, risk management).
• Superior writing and presentation skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent client service and ensure ready-to-transact status within SLAs.
• Manage client accounts and maintain relationship health.
• Coordinate with Legal & Compliance on standard documentation and approvals.
• Support governance, onboarding, and risk/compliance oversight.
• Engage with stakeholders to address issues and drive service improvements.
