Job summary

Talladega College is seeking a Chief Information Officer (CIO) to provide transformative leadership for the College’s technology ecosystem. The CIO will partner with executive leadership to elevate the digital campus, oversee core infrastructure, and drive ERP integrations across departments.

This role supports onsite and/or hybrid work arrangements, with accountability for strategic technology planning, security, and cross-platform interoperability in a higher education setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration (MBA) or related executive technical discipline preferred; Bachelor’s degree required.
• 8+ years of progressive IT leadership experience in higher education or complex corporate environments.
• ERP migrations or comprehensive system-wide software updates.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute a multi-year technology master plan aligned with institutional goals.
• Research, pilot modern solutions including AI integrations to optimize campus operations.
• Lead ERP selection, integration, and campus-wide deployments.
• Ensure interoperability across Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar, Advancement, LMS.
• Oversee data center architecture, security, and uptime.
• Set standards for procurement, technology refreshes, and enterprise hardware.
• Develop data security protocols and compliance with FERPA/GLBA.
• Manage IT staff development, budgets, vendor negotiations, and SLAs.
