Job summary

CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) is seeking a Chief Financial Officer for our Client Accounting and Advisory Services team in Illinois. The role is in-office with minimal travel, and you will perform CFO functions for client engagements, set financial policy, and drive strategic financial planning.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of accounting/finance experience, experience with client management, and familiarity with QuickBooks or Sage Intacct. Bachelor's degree required; CPA preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• 8 years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience required.
• Project management and client management experience preferred but not required.
• Bachelor's degree required; combination of experience and education may be accepted.
• CPA certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CFO functions as part of the client’s accounting services team.
• Identify and implement best practices to add value for clients.
• Set financial policy with clients and drive overall strategy.
• Lead capital planning, risk management, and KPI analysis for boards.
• Oversee budgeting, financial administration, and forecasting.
• Coordinate audit activities and ensure compliance with standards.
• Manage multiple client engagements and build strong client relationships.
