Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen LLP (CLA) is seeking a Chief Financial Officer for our Client Accounting and Advisory Services team in an in-office role with minimal travel. You will lead CFO activities for diverse client engagements, set financial policy, oversee budgeting, and drive strategic financial initiatives for top clients within a national top-10 firm.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of accounting/finance experience, a Bachelor's degree, and strong skills in cash flow, KPI analysis, and client

Qualifications

• 8 years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience required.
• CPA certification preferred but not required.
• Bachelor's degree required; combination of experience, education, and training may be accepted.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks and Sage Intacct highly preferred.
• Travel to client sites local travel required; occasional non-local travel may be necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform CFO functions as part of the client's accounting services team.
• Be accountable for identifying and implementing best practices related to the services provided to add value to the client.
• Work with client to set financial policy and participate in the overall strategy.
• Drive capital planning, risk management, KPI analysis, and board interactions.
• Lead financial administration, planning, and budgeting.
• Oversee longer-term budget planning and cost management.
• Monitor progress of budgets and present operational metrics.
• Ensure financial staff maintains financial records in accordance with principles and monitors fund use.
• Manage cash flow and forecasting, directing financial accounting.
• Coordinate audit activities.
• Effectively manage multiple client engagements and build strong client relationships.
