Job summary

CLA is seeking a Chief Financial Officer for its Client Accounting and Advisory Services team. This in-office role involves leading CFO functions for client engagements, shaping financial policy, and driving strategy with minimal travel.

The candidate should have about 8 years of accounting/financial experience, a Bachelor's degree, CPA preferred, and familiarity with QuickBooks and Sage Intacct. Local travel to client sites is required and you will build strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• 8 years of accounting and/or financial experience required.
• CPA certification preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks and Sage Intacct highly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree required; combination of experience and education acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Perform CFO functions as part of the client’s accounting services team.
• Be accountable for identifying and implementing best practices to add client value.
• Set financial policy and participate in overall strategy with clients.
• Drive capital planning, risk management, KPI analysis, and board interactions.
• Lead financial administration, planning, and budgeting.
• Oversee long-term budget planning and cost management.
• Monitor budgets and present operational metrics.
• Manage cash flow and forecasting; direct financial accounting.
• Coordinate audit activities and client engagements.
