Job summary

CLA, a leading national firm, seeks a Chief Financial Officer for its Client Accounting & Advisory Services team in Illinois. This in-office role with minimal travel demands strategic financial leadership, the ability to manage multiple client engagements, and a collaborative mindset to drive client value.

You will oversee budgeting, cash flow, policy development, and KPI analysis, coordinate audits, and build strong client relationships as a key member of the client management team.

Qualifications

• 8 years of accounting/financial experience required.
• CPA certification preferred but not required.
• Bachelor's degree required; combination of experience and education may be accepted in lieu of degree.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks and Sage Intacct highly preferred.
• Travel to client sites locally; possible occasional non-local travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform CFO functions as part of the client's accounting services team.
• Set financial policy and actively participate in the overall strategy.
• Drive capital planning, risk management, KPI analysis, and board interactions.
• Lead financial administration, planning, and budgeting.
• Oversee longer-term budget planning and cost management.
• Coordinate audit activities and financial record systems.
