Qualifications

• Significant financial leadership experience in CFO/VP Finance roles.
• Ability to combine strategic leadership with hands-on execution.
• Experience overseeing the finances of multiple companies or entities.
• Construction or project-based industry experience is advantageous but not essential.
• CPA, MBA or comparable professional credentials are desirable but not required.
• Willingness to work full-time from the Baldwin, NY office.

Responsibilities

• Lead the financial strategy and day-to-day financial operations of the group.
• Provide strategic financial advice to the Owner and Co-Owner.
• Oversee consolidated reporting across the contracting company and affiliated businesses.
• Lead, support and develop the existing finance and accounting team.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning and financial analysis.
• Improve the accuracy, consistency and timeliness of management reporting.
• Establish and maintain appropriate financial controls, policies and procedures.
• Monitor financial performance and provide ownership with meaningful commercial insights.
• Oversee relationships with banking, accounting, tax, insurance and other financial partners.
• Support business planning, investment decisions and future growth initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial, tax and reporting requirements.
• Remain directly involved in key accounting and financial matters when required.
