Job summary

Confidential Multi-Entity Construction & Infrastructure Organization in Fresno, CA is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead financial strategy and operations across multiple entities. This executive role partners with ownership and the CEO to drive performance, risk management, and growth initiatives in the construction and infrastructure sectors.

The CFO will oversee all financial functions, manage capital planning, and ensure GAAP compliance while guiding strategic decisions and reporting

Qualifications

• Must have advanced degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• Professional accounting designation (CPA/CA/CMA) required or MBA preferred.
• Experience leading multi-entity finance teams in construction or infrastructure sectors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all financial operations and develop a strategy aligned with company goals.
• Direct accounting, payroll, AR/AP, and financial reporting functions.
• Analyze profits, costs, and compliance with budgets and reports to leadership.
• Provide strategic guidance on capital financing and lender relationships.
• Develop accounting policies and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Collaborate with senior management on financial planning and reporting.
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Coordinate tax schedules, returns, and information.
• Manage relationships with insurance providers and internal controls.
• Lead audits and internal control enhancements.
• Prepare detailed financial performance reports for leadership.
• Coordinate with external auditors and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and applicable laws.
