Job summary

Hawks Cay Resort in Marathon, Florida seeks a Catering & Conference Services Sales Manager to secure and coordinate catering, banquet and conference room business through proactive sales efforts and exceptional client service. This role ensures successful planning, coordination, and execution of all group events, meetings, weddings, and social functions from booking through the end of the event.

You will lead planning, coordination and execution of group events from booking to post-event

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in catering sales, event planning, or hotel conference services.
• Proven track record of sales success and client relationship management.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and event management software.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends based on event needs.

Responsibilities

• Solicit new and repeat business through prospecting, networking, cold calls, site visits, and more.
• Respond to inquiries and prepare proposals and contracts based on client needs.
• Achieve or exceed revenue and event booking goals.
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients from contract through post-event follow-up.
• Collaborate with banquet, culinary, audio-visual, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of events.
• Prepare detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and group resumes.
• Oversee on-site event execution when necessary to ensure guest satisfaction.
