Job summary

Hawks Cay Resort in Marathon, FL seeks an Associate Director of Sales to drive the resort's sales strategy, own a personal portfolio, and lead a sales team. You will collaborate with Catering, Revenue Management, Marketing, and Operations to convert opportunities across group, corporate, association, leisure, and weddings.

You will plan, direct, and coach sales activities, maintain a robust pipeline, and present compelling proposals while achieving room night and revenue goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of progressive sales experience with demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
• Knowledge of travel and hospitality industry and market trends.
• Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience with group, corporate, association, leisure, and wedding markets.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Sales in developing and executing the resort’s overall sales strategy.
• Maintain an assigned market segment and personal sales portfolio, with responsibility for developing, soliciting, and closing business to achieve goals.
• Plan and direct sales activities including telemarketing, outside calls, client entertainment, and lead development.
• Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline through prospecting and events.
• Prepare and present persuasive proposals and contracts to clients.
• Lead and coach assigned sales team members.
• Manage key accounts and strategic relationships across priority segments.
• Monitor pipeline and performance to close gaps and maximize revenue.
• Collaborate with Catering, Revenue Management, Marketing, Reservations, and Operations to ensure seamless execution.
