Job summary

Halperns' Steak & Seafood is seeking a Category Manager to drive strategic category initiatives across multiple facilities. You will partner with Sales, Operations, and Procurement to align sourcing, assortment, and inventory with customer needs and market trends.

Lead supplier negotiations, optimize profitability, and develop long-term category roadmaps. Strong data analysis and cross-functional leadership are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in category management in food service or retail is preferred.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Excellent analytical and data interpretation abilities.
• Proven leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent communication with Sales, Operations, and Procurement teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies to optimize cost, quality, availability, and profitability.
• Lead negotiations and supplier performance reviews to improve service levels.
• Standardize assortment and improve inventory performance across regions.
• Collaborate with regional teams to align customer needs with sourcing and product decisions.
• Mentor Category Managers and Regional Buyers to drive continuous improvement.
