Job summary

US Foods is seeking an experienced Category Manager to implement and optimize the area category strategy across multiple Distribution Centers. You will drive assortment decisions, pricing discussions, and KPI improvements in collaboration with sales teams and culinary partners.

The role requires strong analytics, excellent communication, and ability to navigate a matrix organization to deliver profitable growth and alignment with national strategies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of category management experience, preferably in food service or manufacturing.
• Ability to operate within a matrix organization and drive change across multiple groups.
• Strong business acumen with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel; working knowledge of PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Develop implementation plans for category strategy customized for multiple Distribution Centers.
• Ensure alignment with the overall US Foods category strategy and Area needs.
• Drive KPIs across categories (sales case growth, penetration, EB) and pricing discussions with customers.
• Review Area product assortment for penetration, slow or dead SKUs, and growth opportunities.
• Support profitable sales growth and minimize SKU duplication within the Area.
