Halperns Steak & Seafood is seeking a Merchandising Generalist for replenishment and procurement. You will maintain cost records, manage product lifecycles, and act as the primary supplier contact for our division.

Key responsibilities include PO releases, inventory replenishment, supplier setup, and collaboration with sales to meet customer product needs. Strong cost-management and market awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a merchandising generalist for replenishment and procurement.
• Maintain accurate cost records and manage product life-cycle costs.
• Primary supplier contact; manage inventory and supplier needs.

Responsibilities

• Release purchase orders and replenish inventory.
• Move product life cycle from introduction to discontinuance.
• Support supplier and item setup processes.
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality or service issues.
• Monitor market conditions to maintain inventory and avoid losses.
• Coordinate with sales/marketing to meet customer product needs.
• Develop strategies to achieve fully landed product cost targets.
• Disposal of long, obsolete inventory.
