Job summary

Vizient seeks a Category Management Director to lead strategy, sourcing, and value analysis for assigned portfolios. You will guide cross-functional teams, negotiate complex contracts, and align stakeholders across clinical, operational, and supplier groups to drive cost optimization and value delivery. In this hybrid role, three days on-site weekly at Irving, TX, with additional U.S.

locations. You will leverage deep category expertise, analytics, and AI-driven insights to shape category

Qualifications

Relevant degree preferred.
7+ years of experience in category management, strategic sourcing, or related field.
Experience leading complex sourcing and category initiatives.
Proven ability to influence executive, clinical, operational and supplier stakeholders.
Strong negotiation and contracting experience with complex agreements.
Advanced analytical skills with data-driven decision making.
Excellent executive communication and relationship management.

Responsibilities

Lead category strategy and portfolio plans across clients.
Oversee end-to-end sourcing, RFI/RFP, negotiations, and contracting.
Guide stakeholder committees and value analysis initiatives.
Manage a cross-functional portfolio with analytics, implementation, and value analysis teams.
Leverage AI tools to enhance strategy, insights, and decision-making.
