Job summary

Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno, NV, seeks a Security Shift Manager to oversee security operations on a designated shift, safeguarding guests, staff, and assets. You will supervise officers and dispatchers, respond to incidents, and implement procedures in line with company policies and gaming rules.

You will coordinate with gaming, hotel operations, and risk management while enforcing standards and delivering professional guest service during nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years in security operations with at least one (1) year in a supervisory role, preferably in casino/hotel/large venue.
• Valid Guard Card/Security License as required by state/local regulations.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of security procedures, emergency response protocols, and gaming regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and evaluate a team of security officers and dispatchers during assigned shifts.
• Develop and implement security operational plans and procedures to protect property, personnel, and patrons.
• Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents, including disturbances, medical emergencies, fires, and suspicious activities.
• Conduct thorough investigations of incidents, prepare detailed reports, and gather evidence as required.
• Monitor surveillance systems and access control points to detect and prevent unauthorized entry or activities.
• Collaborate with gaming, hotel operations, and risk management to ensure integrated security efforts.
• Enforce company policies, procedures, and gaming regulations consistently and fairly.
• Conduct regular patrols and inspections to identify and mitigate security risks.
• Provide excellent customer service to guests while maintaining a professional and authoritative presence.
• Manage and resolve conflicts or difficult situations involving guests or employees.
• Participate in training programs and stay updated on current security trends and technologies.
• Prepare and submit daily shift reports, incident reports, and other necessary documentation.
• Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans.
