Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably serving professional service organizations.
• Experience as a Controller, Accounting Manager, or CAS Manager in a public accounting or outsourced accounting environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to business owners and non-financial stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and review outsourced controllership and accounting services for professional service clients.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Support clients with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and profitability analysis.
• Develop financial dashboards, KPIs, and management reporting to support strategic decision-making.
• Analyze revenue trends, utilization rates, project profitability, and operational performance metrics.
• Standardize accounting processes, internal controls, and documentation to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Serve as the primary financial advisor and point of contact for business owners and leadership teams.
• Collaborate with clients on growth planning, staffing decisions, pricing strategies, and operational improvements.
• Lead, coach, and review CAS staff work to ensure quality, timeliness, and consistency.
• Assist clients with accounting system optimization, workflow improvements, and technology implementation.
• Coordinate with tax, audit, and other advisors to deliver seamless client service.
