Job summary

Rodefer Moss & Co. is seeking a Client Accounting Services (CAS) Manager to lead a portfolio of client engagements, mentor CAS staff, and deliver high-quality accounting and advisory services. The role balances technical accounting with client relationship management and team leadership.

The CAS Manager will oversee month-end and year-end closes, review financial statements, and provide proactive guidance on controls and efficiencies. CPA is preferred; 5+ years in accounting or CAS is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA license preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting, outsourced accounting, or CAS experience.
• Experience supervising or mentoring team members.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting capabilities.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and cloud-based accounting tools.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of client accounting engagements.
• Reviewing financial statements, reconciliations, and work for accuracy.
• Serving as primary client contact and providing proactive guidance.
• Overseeing month-end and year-end close for multiple clients.
• Analyzing financial performance and key business metrics.
• Advising on accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies.
• Supervising CAS Associates and Senior Associates.
• Onboarding new clients and implementing accounting workflows.
• Managing payroll, sales tax, and other compliance engagements.
• Identifying growth opportunities and strengthening client relationships.
• Collaborating with leadership on CAS strategic growth and budgets.
