Job summary

Trout CPA in the United States is seeking a Senior Associate to join our Client Accounting Services (CAS) team and support construction clients through outsourced accounting, financial reporting, and advisory services.

You’ll work directly with contractors and construction business owners to manage day-to-day accounting, job costing, WIP reporting, and financial analysis, delivering accurate information and insights to drive profitability and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably serving construction clients
• Experience with construction accounting principles (job costing, WIP) and related software

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting functions for construction clients, including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and month-end close
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
• Maintain and analyze job costing data to support project profitability and decision-making
• Assist with work-in-progress (WIP) schedules, revenue recognition, and project tracking
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management initiatives
• Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll transactions
• Prepare and analyze KPIs and operational reports
• Collaborate with project managers and business owners on financial issues
• Assist with accounting system optimization and process improvements
• Mentor and support team members as needed
