Job summary

Qualifications

• Five+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Center Management or related field.
• Strong commercial and contractual negotiation skills.
• Understanding of IP Transit, Waves/DWDM, PNI, fiber connectivity, colocation and cross-connects.
• Solid data analysis and financial skills to evaluate pricing and savings opportunities.
• Excellent organization and project management with multitasking across vendors and stakeholders.
• Effective communication and cross-geography collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with National and International Carriers and Service Providers for data center connectivity.
• Partner with internal infrastructure teams to set technical, commercial, and contractual terms.
• Assist Akamai Data Center teams in identifying terms for fiber builds.
• Identify cost-effective partnerships and execute agreements with vendors.
• Lead contract negotiations to support scalable platforms and growing customer demands.
• Coordinate capacity upgrades with provisioning teams.
