Job summary

Akamai is seeking a Data Center Account Manager to manage relationships with Data Center Operators and lead strategic initiatives across global regions. You will define strategy, cost-saving measures, and ensure Akamai meets growth and environmental targets while maintaining high-performance facilities.

You will organize business reviews with partners, evaluate data center landscapes for optimal terms, and negotiate agreements that scale with customer demand.

Qualifications

• Five years of relevant experience in Data Center Account Management or a related field.
• Strong commercial and contractual negotiation skills, including leasing structures and powered shell transactions.
• Solid knowledge of the Internet, interconnection space and Data Center marketplace.
• Excellent data analysis skills and ability to manage complex technical projects.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with Data Center Operators to meet Akamai's deployment needs.
• Organize regular business reviews with Data Center partners to plan upcoming projects.
• Analyze the Data Center landscape to identify favorable technical and commercial terms.
• Collaborate with Partners and Vendors to establish cost-effective relationships and execute agreements.
• Lead contract negotiations to ensure scalable platforms for customer demand.
• Coordinate with provisioning teams to ensure timely and effective capacity upgrades.
