Job summary

University of Georgia is seeking a Career Consultant to serve as the primary liaison between the Career Center and assigned colleges, helping students and alumni with career planning, exploration, and job search strategies.

You will provide coaching, workshops, and programming support, building industry connections and mentorship opportunities while collaborating with faculty and advisors to integrate career development into the student experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent.
• Master’s degree in higher education, student personnel administration, counseling, or related field preferred.
• Career services experience is beneficial, including advising and career counseling.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive career education and coaching through one-on-one appointments and group sessions.
• Develop core presentations for college/major outreach and Arch Ready Professionalism programs.
• Provide staffing support for career fairs and events that promote career development.
• Market upcoming events, fairs, workshops, and resources to students via Handshake and listservs.
• Collaborate with supervisor to define annual performance goals for career education.
• Assist with additional student populations to support the Career Center’s ability to see students in a timely manner.

Education
