Job summary

The University of Georgia seeks a Career Consultant to serve as the primary career services liaison to assigned colleges, coordinating career planning, industry trends, and professional development for undergraduate and graduate students. You will provide coaching, host programming, and build industry connections to support student success.

As part of the Career Center, you will collaborate with faculty and advisors to integrate career development into the student experience and help students

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent.
• Master’s degree in higher education, student personnel administration, counseling, or related field preferred.
• Career services experience and advising related to career exploration and job-related skill development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive career education and coaching through one-on-one appointments and in groups on career topics including major and career exploration, resume/cover letter critiques, job/internship search strategies, graduate school applications, mock interviews, networking, and related needs.
• Develop college/major-specific outreach presentations and support career fairs and events.
• Market events, fairs, workshops, and resources to students via Handshake and college communications.
• Collaborate with supervisors to set annual performance goals and assist diverse student populations.
