Job summary

Syneos Health is seeking a Strategic Business Director to drive cardiovascular product launches within complex hospital systems and IDNs. In this field-based role, you will engage key stakeholders across academic institutions, IDNs, and GPOs to advance adoption and market access.

You will report to the Area Business Director and collaborate with Managed Markets, Medical, Marketing, and field teams to shape contracting and pricing discussions while leveraging EMR and order set knowledge.

Qualifications

• 10+ years pharmaceutical/biotech experience.
• 7+ years with large academic health systems/IDNs/GPOs.
• Strong knowledge of Managed Care coverage and reimbursement.
• Experience collaborating across marketing, medical, field teams, and market access.
• Understanding of EMR systems, CPOE, and order set development.
• Ability to travel more than 50%.
• Cardiology and/or startup pharma experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive business development and product adoption within key academic institutions, IDNs, and GPOs by targeting appropriate prescribers, influencers, and decisionmakers.
• Build and maintain detailed account profiles, including protocol processes, pull through targets, and key influencers.
• Evaluate unique needs of complex institutional customers and collaborate cross functionally (Managed Markets, Trade, Value Access, Contracting, Medical, HEOR, Marketing).
• Engage pharmacy directors, medical directors, P&T committees, contracting managers, service line directors, and clinical staff to support adoption.
• Work collaboratively with Account Managers, Area Sales Directors, MSLs, and other colleagues.
• Partner with National Account Managers and Managed Markets leadership to communicate contracts, pricing, and other HEOR financial interactions.
• Cardiology and/or startup pharma experience preferred.
