Job summary

GAF, a leading roofing manufacturer in North America, seeks a Capital Procurement Manager in Tampa to lead procurement across project lifecycles, collaborating with Engineering, EPC firms, and business stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery.

You will develop category strategies, manage complex contracts, coordinate vendor timelines, and drive continuous improvement while mitigating risk, in a role that combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, construction management, business or related field is required.
• 5+ years of overall procurement experience.
• 2+ years of manufacturing or industrial experience managing capital procurement and/or construction contracts.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence all levels of the organization.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Coupa, Maximo, SAP) and analytical tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement fit-for-purpose project procurement plans and strategies (category strategies).
• Lead project-specific construction RFI/Proposal sourcing events and conditioning activities.
• Structure and negotiate construction contracts aligned with delivery models and secure risk-mitigation terms.
• Oversee vendor manufacturing timelines, freight logistics, and site delivery schedules to prevent delays.
• Serve as procurement liaison for Engineering and EPC/EPCm firms to ensure technology and terms are aligned.
• Collaborate with teams to provide procurement insights for continuous improvement.
• Resolve supplier disputes and advise on minimizing operational and financial risks.
