Job summary

Intel Foundry's Factory Capacity Optimization (FCO) network seeks a Strategic/Development Industrial Engineer to design space, capacity, and capital strategies for advanced packaging manufacturing. You’ll model capacity, analyze demand, and deliver executive-ready recommendations to improve efficiency and ROIC.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration across TD, Manufacturing, Finance, and Sourcing, with a hybrid work model in multiple U.S. locations including Phoenix and Folsom.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or similar with 4+ years of experience OR Master's/PhD with relevant experience.
• 2+ years' experience in foundry manufacturing systems design, supply chain, capacity planning, or operations research.
• 1+ years in statistical analysis tools and analytics/data modeling using Excel.
• 1+ years' experience in project management; handling multiple priorities in fast-paced manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute space, capacity, and capital strategies for WPM factories balancing near-term and long-range planning.
• Model WPM capacity across manufacturing segments using demand forecasts, tool roadmaps, and customer scenarios.
• Perform SnOP demand and capacity analysis and translate insights into executive recommendations.
• Analyze tradeoffs between space, capacity, throughput, and CapEx to optimize factory economics.
• Integrate capacity strategies across multiple organizational units for alignment and timely decisions.
• Collect, benchmark, and synthesize data to create structured insights for senior leadership.
• Own and develop new planning or modeling capability to drive rapid maturity and impact.
• Communicate clearly under tight timelines, elevating insights for cross-functional stakeholders.
