Job summary

Intel is looking for a Strategic/Development Industrial Engineer to design and improve capacity planning and factory space strategies. You will model capacity, analyze demand, and deliver executive-ready recommendations to optimize ROIC.

The role sits in the FCO Network Design team, collaborating with manufacturing, TD, and finance to align long-term objectives. A hybrid work model applies, with multiple US locations including Austin, TX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or similar degree and 4+ years of experience; OR Master’s degree with 3+ years; OR PhD in Industrial Engineering or similar.
• 2+ years' experience in foundry manufacturing systems design, supply chain, capacity planning, or operations research.
• 1+ years' experience with statistical analysis tools.
• 1+ years' experience with analytics and data modeling capabilities using Excel.
• 1+ years' experience in project management with multiple priorities in fast-paced manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute space, capacity, and capital strategies for APTM WPM factories to balance near-term execution and long-range planning.
• Model WPM capacity across manufacturing segments, incorporating demand forecasts, tool roadmaps, and customer scenarios.
• Perform SnOP demand and capacity analysis; translate insights into executive-ready recommendations on capacity actions and capital timing.
• Analyze tradeoffs between space, capacity, throughput, and CapEx to optimize factory economics and ROIC.
• Integrate capacity strategies across APTM, TD, Manufacturing, FBG, Foundry Construction/Sourcing, Finance to ensure alignment.
• Collect, benchmark, and synthesize data to develop structured insights for senior leadership.
• Own and develop new planning or modeling capability within the organization.
• Communicate clearly under tight timelines and incomplete information, upleveling insights to influence outcomes.
