Placements24 is seeking a Senior Financial Controller for a well‑established manufacturing client operating in Upington, Northern Cape. The candidate will oversee all financial operations, drive reporting, budgeting, forecasting and internal controls to support strategic decisions.

The role requires a CA(SA) or equivalent with at least 7 years in financial management, strong IFRS knowledge, ERP experience, and leadership capabilities.

Formación

• Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) or equivalent professional qualification is essential.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management, preferably in manufacturing.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and internal controls.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS) and SA tax regulations.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced MS Excel proficiency.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities with clear explanation of complex financial data.
• High integrity, accuracy and attention to detail; eligible to work in South Africa.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, GL and payroll.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements per accounting standards.
• Develop and manage annual budget and forecasts, explain variances.
• Maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance.
• Lead external audit liaison and manage cash flow and working capital.
• Provide financial analysis to support senior management decisions.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements.
• Lead and develop the finance and accounting team.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and new systems implementations.
