Job summary

PlainsCapital Bank is seeking a results-driven Relationship Manager to originate, structure, and manage C&I and CRE loans within the Texas market. You will cultivate long-term client relationships, drive loan and deposit growth, and oversee credit quality with community involvement.

The ideal candidate has strong underwriting and business development skills, and a full banking relationship approach across loans, deposits, treasury management, and advisory services in Texas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years of commercial lending experience, with C&I and CRE financing.
• Formal credit training or underwriting experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor and provide customized financial solutions.
• Bank full relationships across loans, deposits and treasury management.
• Proactively develop new C&I and CRE lending opportunities through prospecting and referrals.
• Collaborate with Treasury Management, Wealth Management, and other lines to deliver comprehensive solutions.
• Maintain broad networks in Texas to expand market reach.
• Identify and structure transactions aligned with credit policy and risk parameters.
• Perform in-depth credit underwriting and analyze borrower financials and collateral.
• Work with credit analysts and risk teams to prepare loan proposals for approval.
• Stay informed on market changes and banking products to advise clients effectively.
• Closely monitor loan portfolios and mitigate risks with borrowers.
