Job summary

SMC seeks a procurement professional to manage requisitions, maintain inventory levels, and optimize supplier performance. You will issue POs, track deliveries, and coordinate with suppliers to reduce costs while ensuring material availability for projects.

The role involves supporting demand/forecasting systems, onboarding new suppliers, and preparing monthly inventory analyses to meet departmental KPIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• At least 2 to 5 years of previous experience in similar positions of equal or lower level is required.
• Intermediate (B2) to advanced (C1) English level.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
• Knowledge of ERP computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review purchase requisitions and maintain adequate inventory levels.
• Develop efficient systems to monitor purchase orders and negotiate with suppliers to obtain best prices and reduce costs.
• Issue purchase orders and verify supplier receipt, ensuring timely delivery of materials.
• Coordinate PO deliveries and consolidation processes to optimize transportation costs.
• Maintain up-to-date information on prices, lead times, and suppliers in the system.
• Support demand and forecasting systems and onboarding of new suppliers.
• Prepare monthly inventory and shortage analyses and contribute to department performance indicators.
