Job summary

Salzman Group seeks a meticulous Purchasing & Procurement Specialist to manage daily purchasing, vendor relations, and PO management across domestic and international suppliers.

The role includes coordinating with manufacturers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers, maintaining ERP data, and supporting inventory planning and strategic sourcing.

You will analyze procurement metrics, review promotions with Marketing, and ensure accurate documentation and timely communications across teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of purchasing/procurement experience.
• 2+ years of international purchasing/import logistics preferred.
• Experience with purchase orders and vendor follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day purchasing to maintain inventory levels.
• Review inventory, sales trends, open POs, lead times to prevent stockouts.
• Prepare, submit, and manage POs in the ERP.
• Coordinate with manufacturers, vendors, freight partners, and customs brokers.
• Oversee inbound logistics, vendor promotions, and SKU data management.
• Provide reporting and analysis to inform procurement decisions.
