Job summary

Standard Motor Products is seeking a procurement professional to oversee supplier selection, PO issuance, inventory levels, and on-time delivery while controlling total costs in a fast-paced automotive aftermarket environment.

You will collaborate across departments, monitor MRP and related reports, resolve invoice and receiving issues, and participate in process improvements to drive efficiency and cost savings.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required with automotive experience beneficial.
• Data extrapolation and trend analysis capabilities.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems, JD Edwards preferred.
• Solid MS Office skills and analytic mindset.

Responsibilities

• Be familiar with supplier selection, quantity, price and delivery date.
• Issue purchase orders according to MRP forecast and Reorder Point values.
• Maintain required inventory levels and follow up with suppliers.
• Collaborate with departments and suppliers to resolve invoice/receiving issues.
• Monitor reports: MRP, Reorder Point, Open Order Status, Horizon Reports, etc.
• Participate in departmental process improvements and procedures.
