The role involves sourcing suppliers, negotiating terms, coordinating with shipping, and maintaining vendor performance while supporting continuous improvement efforts in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics, or related field.
• 3–5 years of related experience.
• Strong self-direction and project leadership.
• Critical thinking and initiative.
• Team player with collaborative skills.
• Ability to read and interpret contracts, PO, invoices and reports.
• Excellent written business communication.
• Strong organizational and scheduling abilities.
• Proficient computer and database skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan purchase orders for commodities, materials and supplies.
• Review upcoming orders and update quantities before vendor runs.
• Source suppliers, obtain quotations and compare offers.
• Expedite shipments to satisfy production requirements.
• Monitor deliveries and verify shipments on schedule.
• Follow up on overdue materials.
• Maintain vendor performance reports.
• Maintain stock levels to support manufacturing schedules.
• Coordinate with Shipping Manager on deliveries and rates.
• Analyze procurement data and write reports.
• Ensure conformance to ISO 14001 EMS.
