Job summary

Sub-Zero Group, Inc. is seeking a Buyer/Planner to balance supply and demand for materials, manage supplier relationships, and support the master production schedule across Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove product lines.

This role emphasizes autonomous decision-making, process improvements, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet departmental goals and drive inventory efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience balancing supply and demand with suppliers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with purchase orders and master production scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate with suppliers for goods and services and explain variances.
• Support supplier quality initiatives and returns.
• Analyze material requirements and issue PO releases / manufacturing orders.
• Expedite/de-expedite orders per production/customer demand.
• Collaborate with other teams to resolve data inconsistencies.
• Maintain system parameters and data integrity for parts and services.
• Communicate shortages to enable alternative plans.
• Execute inventory reduction plans to improve turnover.
• Complete special projects as assigned by leadership.
• Develop standard costs based on market factors.
• Conduct on-site supplier facility reviews and capacity assessments.
• Communicate Engineering change notices to production.
