Job summary

IDEX Corporation in Denver, Colorado, seeks a Buyer to source, negotiate, and procure raw materials, components, and services to support production. You will ensure on-time delivery meeting quality standards while optimizing inventory and costs.

The role reports to the Director, Supply Chain and Compliance and requires 3–5+ years in purchasing with a Bachelor’s degree. Expect collaboration across functions and emphasis on ISO/IATF compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of purchasing/procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
• APICS or CPSM certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Purchasing & procurement: Execute POs for direct and indirect materials to meet demand and forecasts.
• Supplier management: Select, evaluate and manage supplier relationships; maintain Approved Supplier List.
• Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, lead times and payment terms to reduce costs.
• Expediting: Monitor open POs, expedite critical materials to avoid shortages.
• MRP Data Management: Maintain purchasing data, lead times, MOQ, pricing in MRP system.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with production, planning, engineering, AP payable and quality.
• Compliance: Adhere to ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and company purchasing policies.
• Continuous Improvement: Track metrics and participate in lean/Kaizen events.
