Job summary

Qualifications

• College degree and minimum of 2 years’ experience in a purchasing position or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• APICS or CPM certificate preferred.
• Negotiating experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review open purchase orders and monitor suppliers’ on‑time delivery and quality performance.
• Identify commodity groups for Kanban or other inventory control programs and work with leadership on implementation.
• Monitor consignment/Kanban releases and coordinate with vendors for changes.
• Expedite products through the supplier’s manufacturing process as needed.
• Assist in collecting and analyzing supplier performance information and support evaluations.
• Monitor supplier inventory to reduce excess, no demand and obsolete stock.
• Participate in supplier visits to review quality, delivery, and performance.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop new products or processes.
• Analyze problems and recommend corrective actions.
