Qualifications

• Knowledge of governmental purchasing practices.
• Familiarity with storeroom procedures.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Have all capabilities and duties to functions as backup personnel for other Purchasing positions.
• Purchases regular repair and stock inventory.
• Assists the Purchasing staff in monitoring the contracts list and facilitates buys associated with blanket contracts.
• Manages problem resolution for “Items Not Received by Due Date” report and other problem resolution as required.
• Assists Purchasing Manager in negotiating “Terms & Conditions”, proposals, and other such issues as assigned.
• Works on special projects and more complex purchases as assigned.
• Assist Purchasing Manager and team members as necessary in accomplishing departmental responsibilities and goals as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned
