Job summary

Georgia-Pacific LLC in Palatka, FL is seeking a contribution motivated Buyer to support our site in a fast-paced, high-volume purchasing environment. You will work with mill requestors to understand requirements, manage MRO, direct materials, and services from vendors, and learn about contracts and local policies.

The role is onsite with the opportunity to work 1–2 days per week from home, supporting strategic sourcing through RFQs, bid analysis, and supplier negotiations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree combined with at least 1 year of procurement experience, OR 3+ years in procurement or related fields.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite including Teams, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint.
• Intermediate Excel skills, including experience with functionality and logic formulas.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase orders from requisitions using the purchasing system.
• Negotiate price and terms with suppliers to achieve lowest total cost of ownership.
• Ensure contracts reflect payment, freight, incoterms, and other key commercial terms.
• Collaborate with internal customers to understand requirements and timing.
• Administer contractor management tools such as Ariba, ISNET, and SAP/S4.
