Job summary

Eastern Shipbuilding Group, Inc. is seeking a Buyer to document and control requisitions, quotes, and the issuance of purchase orders.

You will prepare RFQs to multiple vendors, compare quotes for consistency, and coordinate with Project Managers to ensure delivery dates are met. The role requires a high school diploma or GED plus related buying experience, strong Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook Express skills, and the ability to read and interpret business documents.

Responsibilities

• Document and control requisitions and issuance of purchase orders.
• Prepare RFQs to multiple vendors to obtain quotes and delivery details.
• Review vendor quotes for comparability and terms with project managers.
• Enter vendor and quote data into the system and file documents per policy.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
