Job summary

Bowdoin College seeks a Budget and Financial Analyst to join the Treasurers Office. You will lead budgeting, forecasting, analytic reporting, and Workday use to guide spending and financial strategy across operating, gift, and endowment funds.

You will partner with senior finance leaders to support annual budgeting, improve planning tools, and provide clear financial insights to multiple stakeholders. This is an on-site role on Bowdoin's Brunswick, Maine campus.

Qualifications

• Provide comprehensive budget and financial analysis, including variance reporting, forecasting, scenario modeling
• Strong organizational skills: prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines
• Clear written and verbal communication; produce concise reports and correspondence
• Build relationships with staff and stakeholders as a trusted budgeting resource
• Deliver analytical insights and financial guidance to College leadership

Responsibilities

• Participate in all aspects of the budget process, including draft and board presentations
• Partner with Controller's Office for data integration and reconciliation between Workday components
• Conduct budget-to-actual variance analysis and scenario planning
• Support spending decisions for operating, gift, and endowment funds
• Review budget changes and journal entries with VP Finance and Administration
