Job summary

Staffmark Group is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth in Phoenix/Tucson and surrounding regions. You will identify new business opportunities, cultivate relationships with OEMs, government contractors, and Tier 1/2 suppliers, and coordinate with operations to deliver tailored solutions.

The role requires 5+ years in BD or technical sales within manufacturing sectors, strong presentation skills, and the ability to read engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of Business Development or Technical Sales experience.
• Experience selling manufacturing services, industrial coatings, or metal finishing.
• Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop annual sales plans to meet revenue and profitability goals.
• Identify new OEMs, Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, and government contractors.
• Generate qualified leads through networking, industry events, referrals, and cold outreach.
• Conduct customer visits, facility tours, and technical presentations.
• Prepare RFQs, quotations, pricing proposals, and contract negotiations.
• Coordinate with estimating and production teams to communicate requirements.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts and opportunity pipelines.
• Represent the company at trade shows and industry events.
• Develop strategic account plans for key customers.
• Assist with annual sales budgets and forecasting.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving issues and maintaining communication.
