Job summary

Phoenix Defense, LLC. seeks a Business Development Manager, Precision Manufacturing to cultivate and own relationships with aerospace and defense OEMs and tier-one suppliers, turning partnerships into a qualified pipeline, quotes, and booked orders.

The role is based in Huntsville, the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, or the Phoenix area, with travel to customer facilities and Phoenix Defense manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent industry experience accepted.
• Eight to twelve (8-12) years of professional experience, including 5 of 3 years selling precision manufacturing into aerospace/defense.
• Proven track record of opening OEM or tier-one accounts and converting them into booked orders and sustained revenue.
• Understanding of aerospace OEM supply chain and approved supplier lists; supplier qualification and audit.
• Experience managing the RFQ cycle in a make-to-print environment; estimating coordination and quote negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships across OEM buying organizations and supplier networks.
• Develop and execute account plans for target OEMs and tier-one suppliers.
• Coordinate with Quality, Operations, and Program Management on customer-driven requirements and AS9100/NADCAP compliance.
• Manage end-to-end RFQ processes: data package gathering, internal review, and on-time quoting.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery with Contracts and Finance; transition awarded work to Program Management.
