Job summary

Redwood Logistics is seeking a Business Development Representative in a hybrid role across Chicago, IL; Austin, TX; St. Louis, MO; and Carol Stream, IL. You will grow and develop Redwood Multimodal customer accounts, collaborating with Sales and Operations to drive revenue.

Expect data-driven sales, account growth planning, and coordination of onboarding and pricing negotiations. Occasional travel and a full-time hybrid schedule are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years demonstrated success in Sales/Account Management or Operations in a freight brokerage environment.
• Strong negotiation, communication, problem-solving and networking skills.
• Ability to analyze data to develop a sound growth strategy.

Responsibilities

• Develop assigned customer accounts using data-driven sales techniques to grow revenue and gross profit.
• Create growth plans for your book through reviews with customers and align with other Redwood services.
• Coordinate onboarding, load tender setup, tracking, and issue-resolution processes with Operations.
• Negotiate pricing for orders from assigned accounts.
• Stay current on industry trends and customer activity.
