Job summary

Nth Generation Computing, Inc. is seeking an experienced Benefits/HR Specialist to join our Human Resources team in San Diego.

The role focuses on administering employee benefit programs, supporting open enrollment, and providing knowledgeable guidance on benefit options with a strong emphasis on ADP Workforce Now. You will collaborate with payroll, accounting, and providers to ensure accurate plan data, records, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR management, finance, accounting, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in benefits and HR administration.
• Advanced proficiency with ADP Workforce Now is strongly preferred.
• Experience reconciling benefit and payroll data and producing reports.
• Benefits or HR certification such as CEBS, SHRM-CP, PHR preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Administers employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k) and flexible spending accounts.
• Manages annual open enrollment, communication, enrollment support, and data validation.
• Provides responsive employee support on eligibility, enrollment, and claims questions, avoiding legal advice.
• Acts as liaison among employees, providers, payroll, accounting, and vendors to ensure accurate plan administration.
• Coordinates leaves of absence and accommodations in coordination with HR leadership and managers.
• Performs routine HR and payroll backup, travel arrangements, and executive support as needed.
• Maintains documentation, reports, and procedures for compliance and audit readiness.
